We’d like to tell you about ...

Parks and Resorts – a young company with a long history. Some of our parks are more than 100 years old while others are merely teenagers by comparison. But what they all have in common is that they are some of the biggest entertainment and theme parks in the Nordics.

Parks and Resorts was formed in the early 2000s, starting out with Kolmården and Vildmarkshotellet. Shortly afterwards Skara Sommarland and Gröna Lund came under our umbrella. In 2006 we gained a new owner who upped the rate of investment. Aquaria Vattenmuseum was acquired in 2007 and the latest member of the family, Furuvik, joined us in 2010. Today we can see that our hard work has paid off, especially thanks to all the investments made every year to make fun even more fun!

The numbers look bright

Almost 3 million people visit our parks every year and together they bring in an annual turnover of about 1 billion SEK. This makes Parks and Resorts the biggest theme park group in the Nordic countries. Profitability is good and all the profits are reinvested in the parks. Since 2006 we’ve invested about SEK 1.4 billion in our theme parks.

Our parks

Gröna Lund in Stockholm is Sweden’s oldest amusement park with more than 30 rides as well as the main stage where global performers fascinate visitors of all ages. You’re sure to find a favourite in their broad programme of artists. Something magical happens to people at Gröna Lund. Come and experience the transformation for yourself!

With a wildlife park, performers, an amusement park and a water park, Furuvik is our popular family park where the distances are short but the experiences are huge. You can stay here too; in a tent, a railway carriage or a cottage beside the sea. Wake up to the sound of the waves and the monkey park, Apornas Värld, on your doorstep.

Kolmården Wildlife Park has been inviting visitors to enjoy up close and personal encounters with the animals of the world since 1965. Wander around looking at the animals at your own pace, or join an educational tour of animals from around the world. And then there’s The World of Bamse — amusements dedicated to Sweden’s cartoon bear hero. You can also swoop above the lions in the world’s only cable car safari, or ride Wildfire, the world’s best wooden rollercoaster. For a truly wild experience at night, we recommend staying at Vildmarkshotellet – our own hotel with its own entrance to the park.

At Parks and Resorts we’re big fans of water. Skara Sommarland has more than 1 km of water slides and more than 100 square metres of uninterrupted water games on Pirate Island. There are 45 attractions in total on land and water. If you’re more into staying on dry land, there are go-kart courses, an amusement park and secret hideaways for camping or cottage stays.

If you’d rather meet friends who live under the water, our aquarium Aquaria Vattenmuseum is the place to be with its natural aquatic environments. Learn about the route water takes from the rainforest to the sea and meet Sigge the archerfish. The salmon trout jumping up the salmon ladder are a sight to be seen too.

Our aim is for all our guests to enjoy a totally absorbing and world-class experience, each and every time. As the owner of some of Sweden’s top parks and resorts, it’s our job to make fun even more fun than it already is.

Welcome to Parks and Resorts!
